ACDelco Remanufactured Starters and Alternators for Light-Duty and Medium-Duty Applications

ACDelco Starters and Altenators

 

 

ACDelco offers two lines of starters and alternators:

  • ACDelco original equipment remanufactured starters and alternators for GM vehicles, approved by GM as warranty replacement parts and OE quality for the life of your vehicle. See Original Equipment Starters and Alternators.
  • A line of remanufactured starters and alternators with a limited lifetime warranty for both GM (non warranty) and non-GM vehicles. See Starters and Alternators.

ACDelco remanufactured alternators and starters are available for most vehicles on the road today with more than 3,200 part numbers. Features include:

  • Remanufactured – units are remanufactured to stringent specifications, not rebuilt.
  • Replacement – ACDelco replaces the parts of its remanufactured units that are most subject to wear and failure with new components.
  • Testing – 100 percent of ACDelco Starters and Alternators are tested after remanufacture. Performance and reliability testing includes sound room tests, vibration tests, and exposure to hot and cold rooms. Remanufacturing in ISO-9001 and QS-9000 registered facilities with quality systems that help make sure that our starters and alternators will consistently satisfy customer requirements.

Upper and Lower Ball Joints

  • Precision-machined housing allows for advanced technology and low-friction bearing designs that cannot be used in a stamped housing. The result is easier steering and better return-to-center
  • Case-hardened housing provides a harder and deeper bearing surface for increased strength and durability
  • Polyurethane boots help resist cracking, splitting, and dry rotting, while eliminating contamination that contributes to premature joint failure
  • Advanced corrosion coatings help provide the best possible protection for the harshest conditions

Inner and Outer Tie Rod Ends

  • Precision-machined housing allows for use of advanced-technology performance-tested low-friction polymer upper bearing material that helps provide smoother, easier steering, better return-to-center, and the elimination of endplay
  • Powdered metal or gusher lower bearings improve assembly strength
  • Yellow zinc dichromate anticorrosive coating helps increase corrosion protection

Bushings/Kits

  • “Silent-bloc” metal sleeve/rubber design bushings (in control arm applications) are exceptionally durable and provide proper alignment and ride stability
  • Polyurethane bushings used on ACDelco Sway Bar Links feature excellent abrasion, wear resistance, extreme temperature tolerances, and resistance to oils, fluids, and carbons. In addition, they have a lower compression set than the more commonly used rubber bushings
  • ACDelco Bushings are available for a wide variety of applications; control/radius/torque arms, suspensions, sway bars, springs, and camber adjustments
